AA Media Group announces rich media initiative at IBC 2010

Solution provider AA Media Group announces new partnerships and projects focusing on next generation rich media workflows, addressing the need to adapt to rapidly changing business models while at the same time achieve standardization.

At this year’s IBC (10-14 September 2010), AA Media Group, a leading rich media solutions provider, announces new partnerships and project deployments. These announcements are part of the AA Media Group rich media workflow initiative. The initiative has a focus on the broadcast market but also other vertical markets, and scales from small department point solutions to multi-location, multi-product environments.

The partner portfolio includes point solution partners like Arbor Media, offering extensive logging capabilities, enterprise MAM partners like Cinegy and Tedial, and recently: media backbone based solutions, including Vidispine and vertical solution providers that interface with the backbone, like Arbor Media and new partners Cantemo and Plero.

"Our customers ask for best-of-breed solutions that can be integrated in optimal ways. For this reason we are pleased to select and work closely with partners that share that vision. We play a very active role in creating such an ecosystem, which benefits both our partners and our customers." Says Peter van Overbeeke, partner manager at AA Media Group.

Eric Hardsteen, cofounder at AA Media Group adds, "We are very excited working with partners like Vidispine. The enterprise service bus approach that Vidispine uses has reached a maturity that has tangible benefits for our customers. It achieves standardization, while at the same time enabling flexibility to scale, add, modify, replace specific components. This makes it possible to integrate multiple locations and multiple products easier than ever before."

Recent successful projects delivered by AA Media Group underline the benefits of this approach. They include a variety of vertical markets, and a variety of solution types. The common theme for all: solving rich media workflow problems. Recent successes include: government meetings logging & streaming, media analysis for defence contractors, production & archive & exchange for regional broadcasters.

During the yearly IBC exhibition in Amsterdam (10-14 September 2010), AA Media Group will be supporting various exhibition partners, including Arbor Media, booth 7.G15b.
